I have been fascinated with homes and interiors from a very young age. I can recall pouring over my Mom’s BHG, AD, and House Beautiful magazines and being enthralled by the various styles and aesthetic choices that could be realized in an interior space.
I come from a family of carpenters and contractors, where our family home was (and still is) in a seemingly constant state of remodel and refurnishing.
When I was sixteen I had the opportunity to design and build my parent’s 1920’s craftsman kitchen. I learned how to construct cabinets, select fixtures and finishes, and stay within a budget.
Since then I’ve been involved in hundreds of residential related remodeling and furnishing projects, as both a designer and a builder. I have personally built kitchens, bathrooms, and have seen every side of the home construction process.
It's hard to explain all the unique and disparate opportunities I’ve had the pleasure to practice and explore. From learning woodworking and traditional upholstery techniques, to overseeing the construction of whole house remodels, I’ve always enjoyed the creation of home.
I have circumnavigated working specifically in interior design for a while, choosing instead to be on the building and craftsman side of things. After being given the opportunity to design several friends and family’s rooms, I have become enthralled with the design process and want to learn and create with others who are similarly dedicated.
